James joined Western Surety in September 2025 as Vice President overseeing the Ontario region.

James graduated from York University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and completed a post-graduate Marketing Management certificate from Humber College in 1996. James received his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation in 2005 from the Insurance Institute of Canada.

James’ background, prior to joining Western Surety Company, includes 30 years of progressive experience within the insurance and surety industries.
